This holiday season, Peterbilt Wisconsin & Illinois sent 300 T-shirts to Iraqi children. Upon arrival, these shirts will be distributed by U.S. troops stationed in Iraq.
Many efforts have been made in the past few years to send toys and school supplies to Iraqi children. Peterbilt Wisconsin & Illinois hope to have an impact through supplying a practical gift. According to the International Red Cross, warmth and cover is a necessity at this time of year in Iraq. Blankets and clothing are appreciated contributions. Because clothing is in short supply, providing shirts for 300 children fills a need and sends a message of compassion over the holiday season.
Peterbilt Wisconsin & Illinois sent these holiday gifts on Nov. 23. The shirts and the warm wishes they bring will arrive in Iraq just in time for the holiday season. Upon their arrival, U.S. troops will distribute the shirts to Iraqi children.
