Peterbilt Illinois - Wadsworth Passes on the Value of Education

Kurt Jorgensen, General Manager of Peterbilt Illinois – Wadsworth recently graduated from the General Dealership Management program. This program is offered by the National Automobile Dealers Association based in Washington, D.C. Not only does Jorgensen plan to use the knowledge gained from this experience in managing the Peterbilt Illinois – Wadsworth branch, he also plans to pass-on the value of education.

Jorgensen passes on this value through assisting Peterbilt Illinois customers in gaining industry knowledge. This knowledge is passed on during customer education nights. These events welcome several vendors and many customers into the Peterbilt Illinois – Wadsworth dealership to learn about various components of heavy and medium-duty trucks.

The first customer education night was held on Nov. 7, drawing a crowed of 39 customers. This customer night was on the topic of brakes and clutches. Vendor representatives from Roadleveler and Paceline where present to discuss these components.

Jorgensen plans on having a customer night at the Wadsworth branch quarterly to educate customers and members of the industry on heavy and medium-duty truck issues and topics. The next customer night is planned to take place in January and will discuss engine after treatment systems. These systems are new to the industry and are directly related to the recent emission reductions mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency.
